Community Action Projects

Community action projects support the mission, values, and strategic plan of the branch.  These projects are open to all members of the community.  Contact the project chairs to learn how to participate.

Too many girls miss a class, an entire school day, or extracurricular activities due to lack of menstrual products. We provide products to school nurses in Cedar Falls and Waterloo public schools (middle, junior, and high school) to help keep girls learning and in school. PROMOTING GLOBAL AWARENESS/GREAT DECISIONS FOR PUBLIC

Issues of international importance are discussed using the Great Decisions briefing book and video developed by the Foreign Policy Association.  Meetings are held at the Cedar Falls Public Library on third Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. Project Chair – Gloria Tollefson

CEDAR VALLEY DISCUSS AND DISCOVER DIVERSITY (CV3D)

Lively and interesting discussions of books about diverse populations are held on second Mondays, 4:30-5:30 at location TBA (see newsletters).  Guest facilitators add their expertise in the areas of discussion.
